How to use

  • The resource is particularly suitable for advanced undergraduate or graduate business/sustainability courses. It can be integrated into lectures on corporate sustainability, used for case-study workshops, or support project-based assignments. The extensive Action Library makes it especially valuable for applied learning projects where students can analyze and compare different decarbonization strategies. Most effectively used during the main course phase when students already have foundational knowledge of sustainability concepts and need to understand practical implementation.

  • Faculty should familiarize themselves with the platform’s components. Consider designing assignments that have students evaluate different decarbonization actions, compare business cases, or develop implementation plans based on real examples. The platform’s beta version is currently available, with full functionality expected in 2024.

Teaching format tip

Case Study

Assign students specific analytical roles before presenting the case. Use structured questioning protocols to guide examination of stakeholder perspectives, decision points, and systemic factors. Have students work in small groups to develop competing recommendations, then debate solutions using evidence from the case. Conclude with reflection on reasoning processes and assumptions that influenced their analysis.
