Summary

The Circular Design Guide from the Ellen MacArthur Foundation aggregates a series of resources intended to promote capacity building on the application of design thinking in a sustainable innovation context – circular product design. The guide aggregated a collection of methods belonging to each stage of the design thinking process, media sources to absorb mindsets and stories around circular product and service design and last, a collection of materials to be used in different learning contexts. In addition, guide users are also linked to relevant external resources.

How to use

To use the materials in a teaching context, Instructors should be knowledgeable about circular economy principles and design thinking methodologies. Upon use, they should get familiar with the case studies available in the guide. They can also access the guide capacity-building materials, including content presentations, strategy cards, printable worksheets and facilitator guides.
