How to use

  • Online business simulation game and Harvard-style case study to develop students’ competencies in circular supply chain management. Students act as turnaround managers for an e-bike manufacturer, learning to identify and implement circular flows, develop supporting business models, and understand practical steps toward supply chain circularity.
  • Designed for dedicated circular supply chain modules or as part of broader supply chain courses. The case study format works well for both classroom discussions and hands-on workshops. The simulation game component can be assigned as interactive homework or run as an in-class activity, providing flexibility in implementation.
  • Faculty receive comprehensive teaching notes and discussion points to facilitate learning. No specialized knowledge of circularity required – materials include an introduction video and ready-to-use teaching case. Both faculty and students get direct access to the online game platform, minimizing setup requirements.
  • The complete free package includes the Harvard-style teaching case, class discussion materials, introduction video, game access, and teaching notes.

Teaching format tip

Case Study

Assign students specific analytical roles before presenting the case. Use structured questioning protocols to guide examination of stakeholder perspectives, decision points, and systemic factors. Have students work in small groups to develop competing recommendations, then debate solutions using evidence from the case. Conclude with reflection on reasoning processes and assumptions that influenced their analysis.
