How to use

  • Faculty and students can systematically assess how their academic projects, research, or initiatives impact the SDGs. Helps develop critical thinking about sustainability impacts and teaches structured approaches to sustainability assessment.
  • Can be used in any course involving project work, sustainability planning, or impact assessment. Particularly valuable for capstone projects, research methods courses, or sustainability-focused workshops. Works well for both individual and group assignments.
  • Faculty should introduce the five-step assessment process and guide students through their first assessment. Consider using it for project planning or evaluation phases. Tool requires registration but is free to use.
