About us
Advancing sustainability in Higher Education
At Sustainability in Academia, we are dedicated to preparing the next generation to tackle 21st-century challenges. We do this by advancing the integration of sustainability competencies, subject areas, and learning approaches into Higher Education curricula.
Our Values
Sustainability as a citizenship pillar: We believe sustainability is not an optional add-on, but an essential aspect of citizenship. It should be present across all knowledge disciplines, not confined to a specialization.
Connecting, not reinventing: We recognize that solutions and knowledge exist. Our role is to connect these, make sense of information, and create a reliable, lasting reservoir of knowledge that outlives shifting political and social landscapes. We expand the efforts authors and organisations put into sharing their education materials and we continuosly seek ways to increase the impact of their contribution.
Socio-economic transformation as the ultimate goal: Our resource hub is the starting point. True, lasting change happens through interaction and collaboration. That's why we are committed to fostering a trustworthy community where resources, know-how exchange, and meaningful connections flourish.
